**The 2015 Parade will take place on Saturday December 12th between 10 am to 12 pm.**
Presented by the Jaycees and the Town of Chapel Hill, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade promises to be a great way to start the holiday season! A favorite Chapel Hill tradition, the annual parade showcases the rich diversity of our community. From marching bands to business leaders, youth groups, and creatively decorated floats, this event puts everyone in a festive mood.
At 10am, the parade begins in front of Morehead Planetarium and progresses through Chapel Hill on Franklin Street, ending around noon at the Carrboro Town Hall. Music, live interviews, and commentators will be broadcast both on television and by live public address on the street.
Don't miss the elves, reindeer, candy canes and of course, Santa Claus riding his sleigh! Make sure you get there early to get a good spot to view the parade along Franklin Street and Main Street in Carrboro. More than 10,000 people are expected to line the streets to see this event.
The Town of Chapel Hill helps make the event run smoothly, with help from our colleagues in the Town of Carrboro. The Town of Chapel Hillís Parks and Recreation Department float showcases youth athletic and teen programs in the community. The event will be broadcast by The People's Channel.
